DIY Christmas Wreath Alternative Thrifted Red Sleigh
DIY Christmas Wreath Alternative Thrifted Red Sleigh
its the most wonderful time of the year.
well...for me it is.
i just LOVE christmastime!
i got a surprise thanksgiving eve when the boss said head home at lunch.
so i decided to head over to my local thrifts to spend some alone time and see what i could find.
on my first stop i spotted this red two foot sleigh.
of course there was not a price tag on it.
(this particular thrift store is notorious for that...but it helps me get a better deal in most cases)
ended up bargaining for fifty cents!
among the other bits and pieces i picked out
i got out of there in under three bucks!
when i saw this piece i instantly knew what i wanted to make.
since im giving away my holiday owl wreath i made for southern holiday life magazine in their 25 {week} days of christmas giveaways the first week of december....i needed a new holiday wreath for my front door....especially since this is our first christmas in our new home!
all the elements along with this piece were left over from previous projects.
i used netting left over from a wedding veil i made last year.
the "evergreen" swag was leftover from southern holiday life projects as well as the berries.
the little bird was in a grab bag i got at another thrift a few weeks ago for twenty-five cents.
this wreath complete in under two bucks!
enjoy!
